Terms of Use: Total Sports News

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Total Sports News at totalsportsnews.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Numa Technologies Corporation ("Numa", "we", "us"), Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Total Sports News is part of the Total AI Sports family of sites.

By using the Site you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What the Site is

Total Sports News collects sports headlines from publishers' public news feeds, links to the original articles, and lets members comment, vote, submit their own stories and personalize what they see. We don't sell anything on this Site.

2. Accounts

You need an account to comment, vote, submit a story or save settings to your account. Accounts are shared across the Total AI Sports sites (for example fantasy.totalaisports.com and leagues.totalaisports.com), so the same email and password work everywhere.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms with you.
Give accurate information, keep your password private and turn on two-step verification if it's offered to you. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at legal@totalaisports.com if you think someone else has used it.
You can stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Third-party headlines and attribution

Headlines, short summaries and images shown on the Site come from publishers' public RSS/Atom feeds. They belong to their publishers. We don't claim ownership of them. Every headline card names its source and links to the original article on the publisher's site.
We show limited excerpts so readers can find and visit the original reporting. To make pages load reliably we may keep a copy of a feed's thumbnail image on our server; it is shown only with the headline it came with and its source.
We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party articles or websites. Following a link takes you to a site with its own terms and privacy policy.
Publishers: if you'd like a headline, image or your whole feed removed or changed, email legal@totalaisports.com from an address at your organization with the URL(s). We aim to act within 2 business days, and we can switch off a feed entirely.

4. Comments, votes and member posts

Comments must be plain text, 2 to 2,000 characters, and are limited in how often you can post. Your display name and the time are shown publicly next to each comment.
Votes are counted to rank stories. Don't manipulate them (for example with extra accounts or scripts).
Members may post fantasy-sports notes and other content where the Site allows it ("member posts").
You can delete your own comments. Our moderators may hide or remove any comment, vote or post, and may restrict accounts, at our discretion and without notice, especially where content breaks the Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Submit Your Story

When you submit a story, photo or other material ("Submission") you confirm that you wrote or created it, or have permission from whoever did, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or include anyone's personal information without permission.
Licence. You keep ownership of your Submission. You grant Numa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, edit for length/format/clarity, publish, display, distribute and promote it on the Site and the other Total AI Sports sites and their social channels, for as long as it is published and for a reasonable time afterward in backups and archives. You waive any moral rights to the extent needed for those uses (for example editing headlines or cropping photos), but we'll credit you by your display name where practical.
Moderation. Submissions are reviewed before or after publication. We may decline, edit, unpublish or remove any Submission for any reason. We aren't obliged to publish anything or to explain a decision.
Taking a Submission down. You can ask us to remove your own Submission at any time by emailing legal@totalaisports.com. We'll remove it from the Site within a reasonable time; copies may remain briefly in caches and backups.

6. Notice and takedown

If you believe something on the Site infringes your copyright or other rights, or is unlawful, email legal@totalaisports.com with: your name and contact details; the work or right concerned; the exact URL(s); why you believe it infringes; and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. Canadian copyright notices under the Copyright Act's notice-and-notice regime may be sent to the same address. We may remove material while we review a notice and may forward a notice to the person who posted the material.

7. Customization and location

You can choose sports, kinds of stories, regions, levels, leagues and a general area. Location is optional and opt-in; we only keep your general area, never your exact position. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

8. Betting content

Some headlines discuss sports betting. Betting stories are hidden unless you turn them on, and the setting is not available to readers under 18. Nothing on the Site is an offer or invitation to gamble.

9. Our content and the Site

Apart from third-party headlines and your Submissions, the Site's design, software, logos and our own text and graphics belong to Numa or its licensors. You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial reading. Don't copy, scrape, frame or republish the Site or its feeds without written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available". Headlines and summaries come from third parties and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Personalization and location matching are automated and won't always be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Numa and its directors, employees and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

12. Indemnity

If you post content or use the Site in a way that breaks these Terms or the law and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date and version at the top and, for material changes, show a notice on the Site or email account holders. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saskatchewan, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

15. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term isn't a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganization or sale of the business. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
