The WPL 2027 auction held in Kochi allowed emerging Indian cricketers to secure contracts with franchises. Shweta Sehrawat was notable for being the most expensive uncapped player, signed by Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 lakh. Other players, including Disha Kasat and Latika Inamdar, were also signed by Mumbai at fixed prices. Gujarat Giants acquired G Kamalini for Rs 40 lakh, strengthening their lineup.
